»Solidarity does not assume that our struggles are the same struggles, or that our pain is the same pain, or that our hope is for the same future. Solidarity involves commitment, and work, as well as the recognition that even if we do not have the same feelings, or the same lives, or the same bodies, we do live on common ground.«
– Sara Ahmed

Würzburg Solidarisch e.V. is a politically and denominationally independent association of solidarity initiatives, organizations, and individuals in the ara of Würzburg and part of the nationwide network »We’ll Come United«.

The focus of our work lies on the visibilizaton of and the fight against the conditions of inequality and discrimination that migrantized people are exposed to, particularly on a local, but also on a national and international level.

We advocate for the unconditional right to stay and the freedom of movement of all people. We wish for a solidary world without borders in which human dignity of is indeed inviolable. We stand up against deportations as well as any other forms of criminalization of freedom of movement. We demand that people may decide freely where they can and want to live. We strongly reject the exclusion and isolation of refugees by placing them in camps.

We are committed to the project of society in which all have a place. Everyone is entitled to social participation and access to economic, political and cultural resources. Our goal is a society in which all of its members are able to live their lives in self-determination. In this, we stand alongside social movements that fight for inclusion, anti-fascism, anti-racism, queer*feminism, and climate justice.

In cooperation with other actors of civil society, we want to create spaces for debate, analysis, and exchange in order to (self-)critically question privileges and prevailing power relations. Through this, we aim to develop long-term perspectives that promote actions of social emancipation, resistance, and change.
